San Antonio Water System

The District Special Project (DSP) Well Metering Replacement Project, SAWS Job No. 12-6105, will include construction services for various DSP Pump Station found throughout the City of San Antonio. The well metering replacements consist of installing new flow meters in compliance with the Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA) requirements, mechanical system upgrades, and electrical upgrades. This Project also includes provisions to improve well site areas, yard piping, and demolition of existing structures to bring the well sites in regulatory compliance.

Interested firms must register in order to download the Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals Solicitation. To register, visit the SAWS website located at www.saws.org, and click on the Business Center. Select Contract Solicitations, then select Bidder, Consultant, and Vendor Registration, which is located on the left-hand side of the screen. Answers to the questions will be posted to the website by 4:00 p.m. (CT) on August 2, 2013 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting will take place July 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. (CT) at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Center Building, 1^st Floor, Conference Room 137, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas 78212. This will be followed by a Non-Mandatory site visit of various sites beginning at 11:00 a.m. (CT).

Sealed proposals will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 2:00 p.m. (CT), August 14, 2013. This solicitation requires a Good Faith Effort Plan and a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire, which should be included as part of the proposals and will become part of the contract documents. In addition, each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total price proposal.
