San Antonio Water System

San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is requesting proposals from qualified independent firms interested in performing professional engineering services for the 34th Street Pump Station Improvements Project and is accepting statements of qualifications to select qualified engineering firms to provide plans, specifications, and construction services.

The selected consultant shall provide plans, specifications, and construction services for the 34th Street Pump Station Improvements Project. The 34^th Street Pump Station is located at 3939 Flagle St. in the west side of San Antonio.  The project consists of the complete replacement of electrical switchgear including, but not limited to, replacing all existing low and medium voltage wiring, synchronous pump motors, flow meters, and SCADA system, replacement of chlorine gas disinfection system with on-site sodium hypochlorite generation system, fluoride metering pump upgrades, replacement of one 3 mgd high service pump (HSP), control valves, pressure reducing valve and vault, and miscellaneous piping. Other facility improvements such as existing building improvements, grading, new concrete driveway and parking area, site drainage improvements, security fence and gate, site security and lighting shall be also part of the scope of work. 

The 34^th Street Pump Station serves Pressure Zones (PZ) 3 and 4. A Control Narrative specification will be required.
