San Antonio Water System

Sealed proposals are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the purchase and installation of approximately 34,200 water meters within the specified SAWS service territory as part of the 2013 Meter Replacement Program Project, Job No. 13-4003.

Interested firms must register in order to download the Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals  solicitation. To register, visit the SAWS website located at www.saws.org, and click on the Business Center. Select Contract Solicitations, then select Bidder, Consultant, and Vendor Registration, which is located on the left-hand side of the screen. Select the Register Now button and proceed with registration. For difficulties downloading the solicitation, contact the Contracting Department at 210-233-3372.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the website by 4:00 p.m. (CT) on March 18, 2013 as a separate document or as part of an Addendum.

A Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. (CT), on March 13, 2013 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas, 78212, 1st floor, Conference Room 145. Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendees to the Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting be allowed to submit a proposal for the project.  

Sealed proposals will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 2:00 p.m. (CT), March, 22, 2013. This solicitation requires a Good Faith Effort Plan and a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire, which should be included as part of the proposals and will become part of the contract documents. In addition, each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total price proposal.
