Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the purpose of retaining a licensed and bonded Plumbing Contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to install residential Pressure Reducing Valves (PRVs) and Thermal Expansion Tanks (TETs) in accordance with the plans and specifications for the Dominion Residential PRV Project Job # 13-7001.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the website by 4:00 p.m. (CT) on March 20, 2013 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m. on March 13, 2013 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, Tower II, first floor, Conference Room CR-C137, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting be allowed to submit a bid for the project. A non- mandatory site visit will be held at 1:30 p.m. on the March 13, 2013. Attendees shall meet SAWS Staff and Design Consultant at North Gate. Map included in the bid documents.

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 10:00 a.m., (CT) March 27, 2013. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
