The deadline for this project falls during the week of spring break for San Antonio schools. Due SAWS proximity to several child-focused organizations, traffic can be very congested during this week.

As outlined under item A. Deadline of section IV. Submitting a Response, SAWS strongly encourages Respondents to submit proposals in advance to avoid last minute issues. If responses are late, proposals will not be accepted.

The San Antonio Water System (“SAWS”) is seeking qualified firms to provide consulting and program management services in AMI for SAWS. The AMI Consultant shall work with SAWS leadership and staff to produce a comprehensive Pilot (the “Pilot”) that will evaluate and test various use cases and assumptions that may eventually lead to a full-scale roll out Pilot.  If the Pilot proves to be successful based on the outlined criteria, the selected Consultant may also be asked to provide AMI Program Management Services, which include AMI contractor/vendor solicitation assistance, AMI construction phase services, and support through the AMI deployment.

In this Scope of Services, “Consultant” refers to person(s) providing “Consulting Services.” and “SAWS Director of Program Delivery” refers to the individual overseeing AMI efforts as an employee of SAWS. The Consultant shall provide reports, scopes of work, and other documentation to implement an AMI Program. The SAWS Director of Program Delivery will ensure that all contractors/vendors adhere to contractual requirements and perform quality work. The Consultant shall assist in validating that all AMI project objectives identified are achieved by the end of the project for SAWS business units.
