Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the rehabilitation of approximately 1.38 miles of parallel 54” and 66” diameter sanitary sewer mains utilizing cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), as required by the consent decree with US EPA for the West Sewershed Package 1 Project, SAWS Job No. 17-4546.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM (CT) on September 5, 2018 at the San Antonio Water System’s HQ Tower II Building, 1st floor, Conference Room CR-C137, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas.  Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting be allowed to submit a bid for the project.

A mandatory site visit will be held at 2:00 PM (CT) on September 5, 2018. Attendees shall meet at the project access road gate located off the eastbound I-410 Access Road of SW Loop 410, at mapping coordinates: 29.318849, -98.571976, San Antonio, Texas prior to proceeding to the site.  Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Site Visit be allowed to submit a bid for the project.  

 

An additional non-mandatory site visit will be held at 10:00 AM (CDT) until 11:00 AM (CDT), on September 24, 2018. Attendees shall meet at the project access road gate located off the eastbound I-410 Access Road of SW Loop 410, at mapping coordinates: 29.318849, -98.571976, San Antonio, Texas prior to proceeding to the site. Questions from attendees will not be allowed.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 4:00 PM 10:00 AM (CT) on September 19 13 11, 2018 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum. Please be advised that Bidders are prohibited from communicating with any other SAWS staff, the Consultant, the Developer, or City of San Antonio officials regarding this IFB up until the contract is awarded as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders.

Sealed bids will be received by Counter Services in the Customer Service office across from the Guard Station, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 3:00 PM 1:00 PM 2:00 PM (CT), September 26 20 14, 2018.  Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud by Contract Administration in CR-C145, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
