Sealed proposals are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of approximately 10,500 lineal feet of 54-in steel pipe water main that includes approximately 8,200 lineal feet of trenchless construction in a 8-foot minimum diameter tunnel for the CENTRAL WATER INTEGRATION PIPELINE SEGMENT 5-1 Project, SAWS Job No. 18-8612.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held at 9:00 AM (CDT) on August 2, 2018 at the San Antonio Water System’s Administration Building, 1^st floor in the Cafeteria, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas, 78212. 

Following the non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting on August 2, rock core specimens will be available for viewing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Arias Geoprofessionals office located at 142 Chula Vista, San Antonio, Texas 78232. An additional opportunity to view the rock core specimens at the same location on August 1 from 1 pm to 4 pm.  The Contractor shall not contact Arias Geoprofessionals.  There will be no other viewing of the rock core specimens made available.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 2:00 pm (CDT) on August 7 9, 2018 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum. Be advised that firms responding to this RFCSP (Respondents) are prohibited from communicating with any other SAWS staff, the Consultant, the Developer, or COSA officials regarding this RFCSP up until the contract is awarded as outlined in the Instructions to Respondents.

Sealed proposals will be received by Counter Services in the Customer Service office across from the Guard Station, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 2:00 PM  10:00 am (CDT), August 13 15, 2018.  Proposals will then be publicly opened and read aloud by Contract Administration in CR-C145, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total proposal price.
