Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) for the construction of upgrades to the existing pump station site including the rehabilitation of a welded steel ground storage tank, a new chemical feed building with an on-site Sodium hypochlorite generation system and fluoridation system, well piping improvements and raising one well flange, and replacement of yard piping, site improvements and electrical equipment for the Basin Pump Station Improvements Phase II Project, SAWS Job No. 15-6004.

For difficulties downloading plans and specifications, contact the Contracting Department at 210-233-3341. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held at 10:00 AM (CT) on March 19, 2018 at the Basin Pump Station Site, 7110 Basin Drive, San Antonio, TX  78216.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 5:00 PM (CT) on March 30, 2018 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum. Please be advised that Bidders are prohibited from communicating with any other SAWS staff, the Consultant, the Developer, or City of San Antonio officials regarding this IFB up until the contract is awarded as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders.

Sealed bids will be received by Counter Services in the Customer Service office across from the Guard Station, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building (Tower II), San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 2:00 PM (CT), April 6, 2018. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud by Contract Administration in CR-C145, Customer Center Building (Tower II), 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas 78212. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
