Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) for the supply of all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to remove and replace the built up roof (BUR) systems, per manufacturer’s specifications/instructions, on Building 16 and Building 17 at the Dos Rios Sewer Treatment Plant at 3495 Valley Rd, San Antonio, Texas, 78221, including new wall caps on existing walls that do not currently have them, to provide sheet metal cover for exiting HVAC units and fans that may be eliminated during project, and coordinate installing the roofing systems so all components of the roofing systems are not subjected to precipitation or left uncovered at the end of the workday or when rain is imminent for the Dos Rios Building 16 & 17 Roof Replacement Project, SAWS Job No. 17-0119.  The roofing components and assemblies shall be from a single manufacturer.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held at 10:00 AM (CT) on December 8, 2017 December 12, 2017 at the San Antonio Water System’s Dos Rios Sewer Treatment Plant Administration Building 17, Room 1716, 3495 Valley Rd, San Antonio, Texas, 78221.  Be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the mandatory pre-bid meeting be allowed to submit a bid for the project. Following the meeting, a roofing site visit will be conducted for each of the work sites.  Please have all necessary Personal Protective Equipment required for observation of the work sites.

Please be advised that Bidders are prohibited from communicating with any other SAWS staff, the Consultant, the Developer, or City of San Antonio officials regarding this IFB up until the contract is awarded as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders.

Sealed bids will be received by Counter Services in the Customer Service office across from the Guard Station, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 2:00 PM (CT), January 4, 2018 January 31, 2018.  Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud by Contract Administration in CR-C137, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
