THE PRE-BID HAS CHANGED FROM MANDATORY TO NON-MANDATORY AND  MOVED TO MARCH 9, 2017 AT 3:30 PM

 Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the DSP Tank Ladder Improvements for the DSP Facilities Ladder Improvement Project, SAWS Job No. 14-0703. The following tanks will be rehabilitated:

·       Amhurst EST

·       General McMullen EST

·       West Ave. EST

·       Rhoda Standpipe

·       Lockhill EST

Key components of the project include:

·       Exterior access ladder replacement

·       Roof handrail installation

·       Access hatch installation

·       Vandal deterrent

·       Balcony parapet modifications

·       Roof tread installation

·       Interior safety ladder cautionary notation

·       Electrical conduit relocation

·       Other miscellaneous safety improvements

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 4:00 PM (CT) on March 15, 2017 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum. Please be advised that Bidders are prohibited from communicating with any other SAWS staff, the Consultant, the Developer, or City of San Antonio officials regarding this IFB up until the contract is awarded as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 9:00 AM   3:30 PM (CT) on March 8 9, 2017 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, 1^st floor, Conference Room C145, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas.  

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 10:00 AM 2:00 PM (CT), March 20, 2017. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud by Contract Administration, in Conference Room C145, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
