Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the purpose of retaining a Contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to repair leaks in the water distribution system including leaks in the water mains and water service lines on a work order contract basis. Such repairs may involve replacement of water service lines, valves and fire hydrants, and associated work for the 2017 Annual Water Distribution Leak Repairs Contract, Package 3 Project, SAWS Job Nos. 17-0106 (O&M) and 17-1401 (CIP).

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 4:00 PM (CT) on February 22, 2017 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum. Please be advised that Bidders are prohibited from communicating with any other SAWS staff, the Consultant, the Developer, or City of San Antonio officials regarding this IFB up until the contract is awarded as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders.

 

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM (CT) on February 15, 2017 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, 1st floor, Conference Room CR-C137, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas.

 

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 10:00 AM (CT), March 2, 2017.  Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, CR-C137, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
