San Antonio Water System

Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System to rehabilitate sewer mains that have been identified by televised inspection to be in very poor condition. This project will fund the rehabilitation of approximately 2.94 miles of small (8" thru 18") diameter sewer mains. Areas identified for rehabilitation are evaluated to determine the most cost effective method (conventional open trench replacement, cured in place pipe, or pipe bursting) of rehabilitation. This project is part of the EPA Consent Decree Early Action Program. Each year, SAWS is required to inspect high risk pipes to evaluate condition and to take necessary action to prevent sewer overflows for the Central Sewershed Package I (SSO Pkg 3) Project, SAWS Job No. 16-4801.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM (CT) on October 20, 2016  at the  San Antonio Water  System’s  Customer Service Building,  1st  floor,  Conference  Room  CR-C  154, 2800 U.S. Hwy  281 North,  San  Antonio,  Texas.     Please  be  advised  that  under  no  circumstances shall any  late  or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting be allowed to submit a bid for the project.

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171,  San  Antonio,  Texas  78212,  until  10:00  AM  (CT),  October 31, 2016. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Conference Room  CR-C  145, Customer  Center  Building,  2800  U.S.  Hwy  281  North,   San   Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not  less than five percent of the total bid price.
