Water Production Facilities Disinfection System Upgrades Phase 2

The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is pursuing professional consulting services for the 2017 Production and Transmission Engineering Capital Improvement Projects. Statements of Qualifications are being accepted in connection with these projects, which will require Scope of Services to be performed by qualified professional engineering teams. The selected professional engineering teams shall provide consulting services entailing planning, engineering evaluations, studies, reports, design, bid, construction and overall project management in SAWS’ water production facilities and transmission main projects that are included in the Capital Improvements Program (CIP).
The selected Consultant will be awarded a contract to conduct an assessment to generate a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) and Opinion of Probable Construction Costs (OPCC). The contract may subsequently be amended to implement the design agreed upon by SAWS. The selected consultant shall provide plans, specifications and construction services for the following sites:
· Artesia Pump Station, 703 AT&T Center Parkway, 78219
· Seale Pump Station, 254 Seale Road, 78219
· Randolph Pump Station, 212 Weidner Road, 78233
The project scope of work shall consist, but not be limited to, the replacement of chlorine gas containers with on-site sodium hypochlorite generation as a disinfection for potable water. The construction projects will be phased over three years. The scope may include, but is not limited to the following:
· Work related to electrical system including SCADA controls and communication equipment.
· Construction inspections and Start-up/Commissioning services.
· Associated site, civil, geotechnical, SUE, mechanical, structural, instrumentation and controls work.
