Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the I.H. 10 Ground Storage Tank Painting and Rehabilitation Project, SAWS Job No. 13-0118. The project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Recoating and rehabilitation of an existing 3.0 MG steel ground storage tank, including removing and replacing tank appurtenances. Recoating above ground piping, valves, and pumps and miscellaneous pump station improvements. Electrical demolition and instrumentation improvements.  Site pavement and access drive improvements and fence replacement.  Other appurtenant work indicated on the plans and as specified.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the website by 4:00 PM (CT) on August 31, 2016 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 9:00 AM (CT) on August 23, 2016 August 24, 2016 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, 1^st floor, Conference Room CR-C137, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas.  Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting be allowed to submit a Proposal for the project. Following the meeting there will be a mandatory site visit.

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, 10:00 AM (CT) September 8, 2016.  Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, CR-C137, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
