Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the rehabilitation of approximately 4,000 linear feet of 48-inch sanitary sewer main by Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP), manhole rehabilitation, point repairs, service reconnections, and other related work and appurtenances as more fully described in the Drawings for the San Antonio River Outfall Pipeline Project No. 2A, SAWS Job No. 14-4508.This project is a part of the EPA Consent Decree Early Action Plan Phase 1 and is necessary to avoid future sanitary sewer overflows due to potential failures of the existing pipeline which is in poor condition.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 4:00 PM (CT) on September 1, 2016 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00 PM (CT) on August 24, 2016 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, first floor, Conference Room CR-C145, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas.

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 2:00 PM (CT), September 8, 2016. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud by Contract Administration in CR-C145, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
