San Antonio Water System

The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is pursuing professional engineering services and accepting statements of qualifications (SOQ) from a qualified consultant or consulting firm to provide water quality consultant services. The selected firm will assist SAWS in reviewing potential water inorganic and organic chemistry issues pertaining to but not limited to corrosion effects, biological controls, disinfection by-products, temperature and physical characteristics caused by changes in surface supply or aquifer conditions, interactions with various pipe materials or comingling of differing water sources; and providing recommendations such as distribution system operation or possible treatment scenarios for both current and future operations. The services provided by the Consultant will be primarily for areas within SAWS’ system that receive non-Edwards water sources, but may also include other projects on an as needed basis through individual Work Orders.
