San Antonio Water System

Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of one domestic well, the connection of two wells to private residences, the connection of one water meter to a private residence, and the plugging of one domestic well, with well casing for the plugging job ranging from four to six inches, and well casing diameter for the constructed well at six inches, all associated with the SAWS Water Well Mitigation Program Job No. 16-0108. The project area will include all or parts of the following counties: Bexar, Atascosa, Wilson.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 4:00 PM (CT) on April 20, 2016 as a separate document or included as part of an  addendum.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. on April 13, 2016 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Center Building, 1st floor, Conference  Room  C137, 2800  U.S.  Hwy  281 North, San Antonio, Texas 78212. Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting be allowed to submit a bid for the project. Please be advised that SAWS is hosting an event at 9:00 a.m. on April 13, 2016 which will limit the surface parking and impact the length of check-in times. Make the appropriate accommodations to ensure attendee(s) arrive on time; this includes parking and checking in with security before the start time of the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Attendees may park at the surface parking of Tower 2 or between floors 1 and 3 in the garage. Attendees can choose to pre-register for the meeting, which may assist with check-in times by providing the following information: attendee(s) first and last name(s), title(s), company, phone number, and e-mail. The information to pre-register can be sent to Jessica GoForth, Contract Administration Specialist, in writing via email to Jessica.GoForth@saws.org no later than 9:00 a.m. on April 13, 2016.

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division,  2800  U.S.  Hwy  281 North, Customer Center  Building,  Suite  171,  San  Antonio,  Texas  78212,  until  10:30  a.m.,  April 27, 2016. Bids will then be publicly opened and  read  aloud  in  Contract  Administration,  CR- C137, Customer  Center  Building,  2800  U.S.  Hwy  281  North,   San   Antonio,   Texas.   Each  bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
