Lease of Transferable Edwards Aquifer Authority Groundwater Withdrawal Rights

The San Antonio Water System (“SAWS”) is soliciting bids for permitted transferable Edwards Aquifer Authority (“EAA”) groundwater withdrawal rights.  Types of transferable EAA groundwater rights are designated by the EAA as industrial, municipal or unrestricted irrigation groundwater (“UIG”).  SAWS cannot accept groundwater rights from the portion of IRP’s designated by the EAA as base irrigation groundwater (“BIG”).  The amount of UIG to be leased will be determined by the amount of funds available at the time of the bid opening beginning on February 5_, 2016 and continuing biweekly until December 23, 2016.  All submittals should be 20 acre-feet or more.

Submittal packages will be mailed upon request via the United States Postal Service (USPS) but are also accessible via SAWS website at www.saws.org under Business Center and Contract Solicitations.  Offers are due no later than 2:00 p.m. (Central Time), February 5, 2016 for the initial bid opening and then biweekly on a continual basis until December 23, 2016.
