SAWS is issuing this Request for Proposals for the services of an executive recruiting firm to conduct a national search for a Chief of Information Services level position to lead the Information Services Division. The selected executive search firm is expected to conduct a national search for qualified candidates meeting the job specification for this position and work with designated management of SAWS and the selected candidates until such time that an offer of employment is tendered and accepted. 

The Chief of Information Systems is responsible for providing overall Information Technology (IT), strategic and operational direction to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, and ensuring the evaluation, prioritization, deployment, and sustainment of current and future IT systems across the organization. The position provides vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the organization’s IT infrastructure, and also provides vision and leadership in developing, implementing and administering information technology and program management policies and programs.
