Dead End Mains Assessment Services
Awarded: 6/8/16
Awarded Firm:
FREESE AND NICHOLS, INC.
The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications for an Assessment of Dead End Mains (DEMs) for the entire SAWS Public Water System (PWS) #0150018. An Assessment of DEMs is defined as a methodology to establish a priority ranking and frequency for the flushing of all DEMs in the PWS that will ensure public health while reducing the number to times that low risk dead end mains are visited to assess water quality and minimizing the quantity of water that would otherwise be wasted when water quality data demonstrates that there is no need for flushing.
There are estimated to be 8,700 DEMs in the SAWS PWS.
