San Antonio Water System

ADDENDUM ONE (1) CHANGES THE PRE-PROPOSAL DATE AND TIME, AND THE DUE DATE FOR QUESTIONS.

Sealed proposals are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the rehabilitation and installation of all necessary appurtenances for full automation of the Aeration Basin and Chlorination/Dechlorination Systems; installation of a blow off valve assembly on the 60” main air header line; replacement of all membrane diffusers, air grid piping, drop legs, and basin headers for Aeration Basins 1-15; replacement of all coarse bubble diffusers, air grid piping, and drop legs in aeration basin mixing chamber and influent channel; installation of two (2) new air headers for influent channel and mixing chamber coarse bubble diffusers; rehabilitation of Final Clarifiers 1-4; reparation of all concrete cracks in Final Clarifiers 3-4; replacement of all weirs and baffles for Final Clarifiers 5-7; construction of a blower enclosure; and installation of ammonia analyzers at the SAWS Leon Creek Water Recycling Center (WRC) as shown in the contract documents  for the 2013 Leon Creek Water Recycling Center (WRC) Rehabilitation and Process Improvements Project, SAWS Job No. 13-6505.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the website by 4:00 p.m. (CT) on August 12, 2015 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum.

A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 5, 2015 at the Leon Creek Water Recycling Center O&M Building/Cafeteria, 1104 Mauermann Rd., San Antonio, Texas, 78221.  Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting be allowed to submit a Proposal for the project. 

Sealed proposals will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 10:00 a.m., August 28, 2015. Proposals will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total price proposal. SAWS reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.

This solicitation requires a Qualification Package, Good Faith Effort Plan, and Conflict of Interest Questionnaire, which should be included as part of the proposals and will become part of the construction documents.
