Water Resources Integration Pipeline - Phase 1
The Water Resources Integration Program is a 45-mile long water transmission pipeline with two (2) associated pump stations that will convey treated water from SAWS’ existing Twin Oaks Aquifer Storage and Recovery Facility (ASR) site to west and northwest San Antonio. The construction of the Program will be divided into two separate phases.
Phase I will include approximately 28 miles of large diameter steel pipeline, a portion of the Twin Oaks West Pump Station, and a portion of the Old Pearsall Road Pump Station. Construction will consist of six (6) separate construction projects/contracts, which consists of the following:

Segment 1A Pipeline
Segment 1B Pipeline
Segment 2A Pipeline
Segment 2B Pipeline
All projects must all be online and ready to transmit water from SAWS’ Brackish Groundwater Desalination Plant. Please see the tentative bid schedule for each of the six (6) projects:

All projects have been advertised and are listed separately on the SAWS website with all pertinent information, along with their individual plans and specifications. In addition, this tentative bid schedule for the WRIP Program will be updated, as needed.
Construction for Phase II of the Program is expected to be awarded in 2020.
