San Antonio Water System

Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the realignment and improvements to Heating and Cooling Plant parking facilities. Work to include new asphalt pavement, concrete curbs, parking lot striping, existing asphalt emulation sealcoat, installation  of new fencing, installation of new manual double-swing gate, installation of new motorized sliding gate with gate operator and access card reader system, installation of electrical services for parking lot and gate inclusive of decorative poles/LED Lighting pole fixtures and site excavation and trenching to provide for installation of electric conduits for parking lot new lighting posts and for automated gate terminal box. Salvaging and hauling and stockpiling of reclaimable asphalt, minor curb removal, placement of flexible base and hot mix asphaltic pavement, for the Market Street Heating and Cooling Plant Parking Realignment Project, SAWS Job No. 14-7501.

A Non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on April 22, 2014, at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, Tower II, 1st floor, Conference Room CR-C137, 2800 U.S Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. A Non-mandatory site visit will be held immediately following the non-mandatory pre-bid conference for those wishing to attend.

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 2:00 p.m., May 1, 2014. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
