INVITATION TO BIDDERS

Solicitation No. B-20-002-RL

 

Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the Van Dyke Service Center Fuel Dispensing Facilities Demolition, SAWS Job No. 19-0134.

 

The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to, removal of two underground fuel storage tanks, above-ground fuel dispensing facilities and all related appurtenances both above and below ground. The work also includes stockpiling and testing of excavated soil, backfill of excavated ground and disposal of all the demolition materials per applicable state and federal codes and regulations.The work is located at the site of Van Dyke Service Center Facility at 254 Seale Road, San Antonio, TX 78219.

A non-mandatory pre-bid and site visit meeting will be held at 10:00 AM (CT) on February 21, 2020 at the Van Dyke Service Center Facility at 254 Seale Road, San Antonio, Texas. Attendees wishing to conduct site visits after the meeting shall be required to supply their protective equipment including a hard hat, high visibility vest and steel toe boots.

Please be advised that Bidders are prohibited from communicating with any other SAWS staff, the Consultant, the Developer, or City of San Antonio officials regarding this IFB up until the contract is awarded as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders.

 

Sealed bids will be received by Counter Services in the Customer Service office across from the Guard Station, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 1:30 PM (CT), March 9, 2020. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud by Contract Administration in CR-C137 CR-C169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
