Alamo Ranch Pkwy Phase 1 Water Main 

This project will install approximately 8,000 linear feet of 42-inch water main along existing and future Alamo Ranch Parkway, from the intersection of Roft Rd/Del Webb Blvd and extends westward to the future intersection at Galm Rd via open cut method.  This project is part of a two-phased effort to provide water service to future SAWS customers by extending the infrastructure to this rapidly developing area.

When Will Work Occur?

Project is scheduled to advertise in March 2024. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in the 3rd quarter of 2024. The estimated construction duration is 12 months, and the estimated construction cost is $6.5 million. 

What to Expect

  • Open cut installation of approximately 8,000 LF of 42-inch Concrete Steel Cylinder (CSC) water transmission main at depths up to 12 feet.
  • Project includes installation of a cathodic protection system and associated pipe connections and appurtenances.
  • The solicitation via RFCSP will seek respondents with experience installing large diameter CSC pipe for use as water transmission main.
  • The project will include a trilateral agreement between SAWS, the developer, and the contractor.
