Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of approximately 1,520 LF of 36-inch HDPE sewer force mains via Open Cut, 330 LF of 42-inch sewer mains via Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP), and lift station improvements including valve replacement and minor structural improvements for the Acequia Lift Station 30-inch Force Main Project, SAWS Job No.22-4515.

A non-mandatory pre-bid site visit will be held at 2:00 PM (CDT) on March 24, 2023, at 8600 Mission Pkwy, San Antonio, Texas 78223. The subsequent document “Acequia Lift Station 30-inch Force Main Project Attachment A Site Visit Procedures” is hereto made part of this specification section and includes procedures that shall be followed to attend the pre-bid site visit meeting.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 4:00 PM (CDT) on April 10 17, 2023, as a separate document or included as part of an addendum. Please be advised that Bidders are prohibited from communicating with any other SAWS staff, the Consultant, the Developer, or City of San Antonio officials regarding this IFB up until the contract is awarded as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders.

Bids will be received either Electronically or through Sealed bids, until 2:00 PM 10:00 AM (CDT), April 19 26 May 2, 2023. Electronic bids will be received via the secure SAWS FTP site. Sealed bids will be received by Contract Administration, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Tower II, Customer Center Building, via a drop box located on the left wall when walking through the first set of double glass doors of the main Tower II entry on the north side of the building, San Antonio, Texas 78212. See the Electronic Bid Opening Instructions attachment for additional information regarding an electronic bid submittal. Electronic bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price. (Or, if providing SAWS with a cashier's check or certified check in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price, SAWS will request this within 24 hours from the apparent low bidder. Sealed bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud by Contract Administration via WebEx.
