Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of approximately 2,350 linear feet of restrained 48-inch diameter water main to include but not limited to water main tie-ins, pipeline installation at various depths, bore and/or tunneling, fittings and other water main appurtenances, trench excavation safety protection, tree protection, erosion control and traffic control measures for the 48-Inch Water Main – Micron to Anderson Tank Phase II Project, SAWS Job No. 10-7002.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by on September 9, 2011 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 A.M. on August 31, 2011 at the San Antonio Water System’s Tower II Building, 1st floor, Conference Room 137, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas, site visit to follow immediately following the pre-bid meeting.
Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 2:00 P.M., September 13, 2011. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
