Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of approximately 1,660 linear feet of water main and 2,740 linear feet of sewer main and all necessary appurtenances for the installation, replacement, and adjustment of SAWS facilities for the 2011 Water & Sewer Construction Package VIII Project, SAWS Job No. 11-5019 & 11-5519.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 4:00 PM (CST) on August 29, 2011 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 23, 2011 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Center Building, Tower II, 1st floor, Conference Room 145, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting be allowed to submit a bid for the project. The Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be video recorded for record purposes. Please be advised that only Contractors will be allowed to attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting, no Supply Companies or Manufactures are to attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting.
Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 10:00 a.m., September 7, 2011. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
