The San Antonio Water System is seeking Best Value Bids for Wastewater Flow Meters to include the installation of two hundred twenty (220) wastewater flow meters and thirty-five (35) rain gauges for use within the existing wastewater collection and conveyance system to determine existing flow conditions, to investigate Inflow and Infiltration (I&I), to calibrate the hydraulic model, and to be used as a warning tool for main surcharging and sanitary sewer overflows (SSO). The Contractor will be responsible for providing, installing, monitoring, maintaining, relocating, and removing of meters and rain gauges at the completion of the project. SAWS intends on reducing the number of flow meters to a maximum of forty (40) after three years of the contract provided flow metering data is successfully recorded and collected. The 40 flow meters will be used in validating capacity constraints and for remedial measures analysis within the System. Each of the remaining 40 flow meters may be relocated to a maximum of 10 times in order to validate a model predicted or field observed capacity constraints.
