San Antonio Water System

The San Antonio Water System Laboratory is soliciting bids to purchase proficiency test (PT) samples in accordance with requirements found in the SAWS Laboratory Quality Assurance Plan. An electronic copy of the Quality Assurance Plan is available upon request. PT sample analysis is required by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to maintain accreditation for the analytes and methods listed in the laboratory’s scope of accreditation. An electronic copy of the laboratory’s scope of accreditation is available upon request. The laboratory may also analyze PT samples as part of the process for adding parameters to the existing scope of accreditation. Because the laboratory reports data to demonstrate compliance with SAWS' wastewater permits, the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) also requires that the lab perform PT sample analysis for the Discharge Monitoring Report Quality Assurance (DMRQA) program.
