San Antonio Water System

The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is closing the Leon Creek Composting facility and the contract with TLM/Garden-Ville expires July 31, 2011. A temporary biosolids composting contract is needed until a new beneficial reuse contract can be developed and put in place. SAWS seeks a contractor for management of biosolids through off site composting at an existing facility and is accepting bids to select qualified contractors to provide the complete management of dewatered biosolids through composting. Services should include loading, hauling of biosolids, manufacture of compost, and the supply of the product(s) to suitable markets. This contract will replace the TLM/Garden-Ville operation until a new contract for beneficial reuse of biosolids is accepted and startup of the new facility.
