The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is pursuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from interested firms to provide engineering design, geological consulting, permitting assistance and construction management services for the design, permitting, construction, and testing of a municipal brine injection well. In addition, SAWS desires to identify of up to six (6) additional potential injection well sites on system owned property. Initially the test well that is being constructed will be permitted under a Class V permit for injection testing. If tests are successful, SAWS desires to convert the permit to a Class I UIC Injection Well General Permit authorization. The well will be drilled at a site in Wilson County Texas on property owned and identified by SAWS. This work will require a Scope of Services to be performed by either a single qualified independent consulting firm or team of consulting firms under the direction and guidance of a prime consultant or a joint venture contractor (Consultant).
