San Antonio Water System

Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of the Regional Carrizo Program, Communication Towers Project, SAWS Job No. 12-8613.  The project includes, but is not limited to, purchase and turn-key installation of the three primary radio towers and all communications equipment required to transmit communications between the Regional Carrizo Program facilities, including the Buckhorn Well Field in Gonzales County and the Schertz Parkway Pump Station in Guadalupe County, and the SAWS Hildebrand Elevated Storage Tank. The three self-supporting towers to be constructed include a 120 foot tall tower at Well No. 10 in the Buckhorn Well Field, a 190 foot tall tower at the Schertz Seguin Local Government Corporation’s Surge Tank site in Guadalupe County, and a 280 foot tall tower at the SAWS Foster Elevated Storage Tank site in northeast Bexar County. This project also includes improvements to each site such as access drives, security fencing, lighting, security cameras, electrical wiring, and other miscellaneous work as required per the Contract Documents.

A non-mandatory Pre-bid Meeting will be held at 2:00 PM (CT) on September 6, 2012 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas, Tower II, CR-C137.  Immediately following the Pre-bid Meeting, non-mandatory site visits will be conducted.

 

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 2:00 PM (CT) on October 3, 2012. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
