Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for construction of approximately 81,000 linear feet of HDPE water line, varying in diameter from 18 inches through 36 inches; completion of 9 existing production well sites; rehabilitation of the existing Bebe well site; and construction of the final phase of the access roads and low water crossings for the Buckhorn Well Field, SAWS Job No. 03-8518-207. The Project site is located in western Gonzales County between the cities of Nixon and Gonzales.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM (CT). on April 30, 2012 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, 1st floor, Conference Room 154, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting be allowed to submit a bid for the project. Immediately following the pre-bid meeting, there will be a non-mandatory site visit.
Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 2:00 PM (CT), May 9, 2012. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price
