BID OPENING HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL MONDAY, APRIL 2, 2012 - SEE ADDENDUM NO. 6

Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of the Regional Carrizo Project Schertz Parkway Pump Station, SAWS Job No. 10-8617.  The project includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

Construction of a 2.0 MG pre-stressed, concrete ground storage tank; four high service pump assemblies and motors; electrical building and equipment; water line piping and control stations; surge tank; asphalt access road; concrete site access drives, security fencing; and other miscellaneous site improvements as required per the Contract Documents for a complete in-place facility, the Schertz Parkway Pump Station.   

Construction of the necessary yard piping and control stations for connection of Carrizo water and return of emergency water to the City of Schertz; replacement of one high service pump assembly and motor; surge tank; chlorine treatment facility upgrades; fluoride treatment facility upgrades; and electrical equipment upgrades as required per the Contract Documents at the SAWS Naco Pump Station facility.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 AM (CST) on March 15, 2012 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas, Tower II, CR-C137.  Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting be allowed to submit a bid for the project.  Immediately following the pre-bid meeting, there will be a non-mandatory site visit. 
 
Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 10:00 AM (CST) on March 30, 2012. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
