Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the replacement of approximately 230 linear feet of 48-inch sanitary sewer siphon main within South Presa Street - TxDOT Right-of-Way (SPUR 122), using jack and bore method, open cut method, removal of existing 48” concrete siphon pipe and adding 2 t-base manhole. Of these 230 linear feet, approximately 110 linear feet will be jack and bored - 60” steel casing, 48” FRP carrier pipe and 120 linear feet will be open cut – 48” FRP pipe. Improvements will also include complete restoration of jack and bore pit areas and bypass pump pit pipe repairs. Improvements include approximately 22 linear feet of 6” ductile iron water pipe and approximately 44 linear feet of 12” ductile iron water pipe for the South Presa Street 48-inch Siphon No. 6 Project, SAWS Job No. 11-4514.

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 10:00 A.M., May 12, 2011. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
