San Antonio Water System

Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of (approximately) 8,266 linear feet of barbed wire fence on three tracts in Southeast Bexar County, including tree protection, removing trees and vegetation, and installation of gates for the Fence Construction: Nelson, Baker and Pattillo Tracts Project, SAWS Job No. 10-8625-218 .

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 A.M. on February 15, 2011, at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, 1st floor, Conference Room 137, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. There will be an opportunity for a site visit on February 14, 2011 at 9:00 A.M. Prospective bidders should meet at the parking lot of the Bill Miller Bar-B-Q, located on 20135 IH 37 South (Intersection of IH 37 South and Loop 1604), Elmendorf, TX 78112. For questions on directions, please contact Steve Craig at 210-233-3640 or 233-3056.

Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 10:00 A.M., February 22, 2011. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
