Sealed bids are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of approximately 85,000 square yards of street maintenance work and all related appurtenances for the Annual 2011 Asphalt Overlay Work Order Construction Contract Project, SAWS Job No. 11-0101. All work is unspecified at the time of bidding. The contractor shall be willing to operate at various locations around the city, concurrently at times, throughout the contract period on a work order and/or on-call basis.

Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 4:00 PM (CST) on January 25, 2011 as a separate document or included as part of an addendum.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 A.M. on January 21, 2011 at the San Antonio Water System’s Customer Service Building, 1st floor, Conference Room 137, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Please be advised that under no circumstances shall any late or non-attendee(s) to the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting be allowed to submit a bid for the project.
Sealed bids will be received by the Contract Administration Division, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, Customer Center Building, Suite 171, San Antonio, Texas 78212, until 10:30 A.M., January 28, 2011. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Contract Administration, Suite 169, Customer Center Building, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North, San Antonio, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
