What is new for 2020?
- Medical premium increases in both PPO Economy and EPO Plus Plans for both SAWS and employees.
- Deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums are increasing in the EPO Plus Plan.
- Out-of-Pocket Maximum changes for the PPO Economy Plan.
- Dental premium increases for employees.
- InsideRX Pets.
This year's Open Enrollment will be a passive enrollment, meaning if you're satisfied with your current benefit plan selections, you don't need to do anything.
SAWS will continue to offer a choice of two medical plans, the PPO Economy and the EPO Plus, along with dental and vision coverage provided by UnitedHealthcare. Express Scripts, Inc. will continue to be our pharmacy benefit manager. There are no changes to the plan designs for medical, dental or vision, but there will be an increase in medical and dental premiums for 2020. Additionally, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums for the EPO Plus will increase.
2020 Spouse Premium Surcharge
Employees who currently have their spouse covered under one of the SAWS medical plans and have a spouse premium surcharge waiver form on file for 2019 do NOT need to submit a new waiver form for 2020 Open Enrollment.
The 2020 spouse premium surcharge, which applies only to medical plans, is $150 per month ($75/paycheck). This is in addition to your medical premium.
If your spouse is not working or does not have access to medical coverage through his/her employer, you have until Nov. 1 to submit a waiver form for 2020.
2020 Flexible Spending Accounts
If you want a health or dependent care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) next year, you MUST enroll for 2020 via Infor Lawson Employee Self-Service during Open Enrollment, even if you already have an account this year. If you'll have an unused health care FSA balance this year, you must enroll in an account for next year in order for the balance to roll over to 2020.
The health care FSA limit for 2020 is $2,700, while the dependent care FSA limit is unchanged at $5,000.
