San Antonio Water System

The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is seeking Statements of Qualifications from professional service firm(s) specializing in the condition and risk assessment of pressurized water pipelines. SAWS desires to engage one or more qualified firms to establish a proactive water pipeline condition assessment program to identify appropriate rehabilitation strategies, avoid full scale pipeline replacement in favor of small targeted repair or replacement projects, reduce water loss, reduce the risk of water main failure due to potential structural deficiencies, and prioritize future upgrades of water pipelines. The selected firm(s) shall self-perform assessment methods on a work order basis, as requested by SAWS.

At SAWS sole discretion, SAWS may consider selecting one (1) firm capable of performing services that may require the destruction of inspected pipeline (such as tapping) with technology that is non-invasive and another firm that would perform services using internal assessment (invasive) when additional granularity of resulting data is desired or due to other conditions.
