REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

2023 Architectural Services Work Order Contract

A. Objective

The San Antonio Water System, (SAWS or Water System), is pursuing a request for qualifications (RFQ) for professional architectural services for the 2023 Architectural Services Work Order Contract. Statements of qualifications (SOQs) from interested firms (Respondents) are being accepted in connection with this Work Order Contract, which will require the scope of services to be performed by the selected Consultant, a qualified professional architectural firm.

The intent of this Work Order Contract is for the design of small projects, often urgent, that tend to last a relatively short period of time whereas the scope of work can be successfully completed within the time limit of the Work Order Contract. The selected professional Architectural firm will provide Architectural services that may include planning, programming, design studies, construction documents, permitting, bidding support and construction administration. These services will be managed by the SAWS Facilities Departments and may include repairs, renovations, code compliance work, additions and new buildings, affecting various SAWS departments at multiple locations.

The estimated budget for this professional architectural services Work Order Contract is $260,000.00. Only one firm will be selected by SAWS. The contract term will be for two (2) years, and funding will be broken out annually as follows:

The Work Order Contract will also include the option to extend for up to three (3) successive (1) year terms as needed and approved.
