Purchase of Transferable Edwards Aquifer Authority Groundwater Withdrawal Rights

The San Antonio Water System (“SAWS”) is soliciting bids for the purchase of permitted transferable groundwater withdrawal rights from and out of the Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA) Initial Regular Permits and Regular Permits (EAA groundwater rights).  Types of transferable EAA groundwater rights are designated by the EAA as industrial, municipal or Unrestricted Irrigation Groundwater.  SAWS will not accept groundwater rights from the portion of irrigation permits designated as "base irrigation groundwater."  SAWS will not consider Purchase Bids of less than 20-acre feet.

Submittal packages will be mailed, e-mailed, faxed or by other means upon request but are also accessible via SAWS website at www.saws.org under Business Center and Contract Solicitations. 

Bids are due no later than 2:00 p.m. (CT), October 26, 2022 for the initial bid opening and then every two (2) weeks thereafter on a continual basis until the desired volume is achieved.
